Data sources & licences
GA Flight's advisory aerodrome cards and diagrams are built entirely from openly-licensed public data. This page lists every source we use, under what licence, what each licence requires of us, and how to request the OpenStreetMap-derived extract behind our diagrams.
GA Flight never uses licensed or proprietary aeronautical charts (Jeppesen, DFS, restricted SIA products) without a licence. Every external datum shown anywhere in the product carries its source, a freshness date, and a confidence level — advisory only, never a replacement for the current official chart or AIP.

Service de l'Information Aéronautique (SIA) — see the last-updated date shown on each record.
Every SIA-sourced fact on GA Flight shows the date it was last updated next to the fact itself, as the licence requires. This page's own citation of the SIA licence document is dated 26 February 2020.
We reproduce SIA facts without altering their meaning, and always recommend checking the current AIP/VAC before flight. This mention does not confer any official character on our use of SIA data, and does not suggest SIA endorses or reviews GA Flight.

Derivative-database offer (ODbL §4.6)
The taxiway/apron geometry we extract from OpenStreetMap to build our advisory aerodrome diagrams is available on request, free of charge, in machine-readable form — email contact@gaflight.com — or as a written description of the selection method (which OpenStreetMap elements we use, and how) that we can produce on request. Any extract we deliver carries a copy of (or a link to) the ODbL licence text and keeps the original OpenStreetMap copyright notices intact.

Sources we do not use
DFS / Germany (Deutsche Flugsicherung)
Excluded — DFS's own AIS-Portal terms forbid commercial reuse and derived works without written approval, and re-deriving German AIP facts at scale risks the EU sui generis database right. GA Flight's German aerodrome data comes only from OurAirports and OpenStreetMap, never DFS.
OpenAIP
Excluded — OpenAIP's free tier is a non-commercial licence (CC BY-NC-SA); GA Flight is a commercial product, and we have not obtained OpenAIP's separate paid commercial licence.
